Good gravy, take a look at all that music on the calendar this weekend! If you can't find some shows of which to partake, well, let's just say this: "yr doin it wrong."
Tonight sees an appearance from Dear & The Headlights at The Meridian, and the Free Radicals will be dropping into Mango's. We're opting for the show at The Mink, which features Austin's Jeremy Nail & The Incidents with support from locals Skepticynic and Prairie Cadets. You can bet your sweet whatever that we'll walk down the block to catch The Gold Sounds set at Continental Club, though.
Friday hosts plenty of mayhem at The Meridian, with more of it at SHFL. If the calendars we looked at are correct, then Peekaboo Theory appears to be pulling double duty. Garage rockers The Soft Pack should put on a good show at Walter's, as should Los Skarnales at Fitzgerald's.
Saturday is chock full of goodness. Runaway Sun will be unleashing their new album at Continental Club, Annise Parker's campaign has put together an excellent lineup for her fundraiser at The Mink [in what should be a successful effort to attract some young votes], and former Houstonian Tody Castillo is this week's guest at Cactus Music.
We wouldn't dare miss out on Alice Cooper's Theater of Death Sunday, so we'll just stop there.
