For the Week of October 12th - 14th, 2009

Houstonist might not have made it to a show on Friday due to our little shindig, but we hope you did. Here's where we'll be this week.

Monday offers some of the usual craziness at Super Happy Fun Land, but we're going to opt for the show at Boondocks. We caught Muhammid Ali and Dallas' LegSweeper a couple weeks ago at Mango's, and it's a show well worth attending. We've had the LegSweeper demo on endless repeat ever since.

On Tuesday, Cactus Music hosts John Arthur Martinez, so we may drop by and grab a free brew before heading out to catch the punk show at Mango's. Common will be putting in an appearance at Toyota Center as part of Maxwell's tour. We hear there's an afterparty at The Meridian, so we might take our chances and see if he shows.

Wednesday brings The Black Crowes groove-laden brand of rock through House of Blues, and Ryan Scroggins crew will be at The Continental Club. We honestly just cannot pass up the spectacle at Reliant Stadium, however. If the roof is open for the show, we'll put money down that you can see it from space.
