Daily-ist Thursday: Open Mic Competition at Coffee Groundz

Open mic competitions can be a crap shoot. We love the excitement of being among the first to spot an undiscovered up-and-comer, so we can handle the occasional histrionic poetry reading in exchange. Actually, we love the occasional histrionic poetry reading almost as much, but for far different reasons. If you are feeling up for a surprise then tonight Coffee Groundz is the place to be. Should you find yourself witnessing a paroxysm of self-indulgent bad judgement, there's no better excuse to sneak away than the Trentino Gelato case.

If you are a performer, the competition is open to musicians, poets and thespians. All the sound equipment is provided, and the winner will take home a Coffee Groundz gift card.
