For the Week of October 19th - 21st, 2009

Did you have a good weekend? Are you ready for more music? Here at Houstonist we're constantly thinking about the next show we'll be attending. Here's a look at what's going on this week.

While Goodie Mob & Scarface might be hard to pass up, there are a few good reasons to do just that on Monday. Maserati comes to town with locals Golden Cities and Passengers for support. The Manichean have a free show at Avant Garden that really shouldn't be missed, either. You'll find Houstonist enjoying a nice cabernet and Sara Van Buskirk's captivating songs - we don't know of many things that make a better fit.

Tuesday will surely find many a youth group making the trip to Warehouse Live to cheer on long-running Christian darlings Relient K, whilst the non-churched angst-ridden teens will abound down the road at The Meridian. Houstonist plans to drop by Cactus Music for an early judgment on whether we'll attend the show at House of Blues.

On Wednesday the disenfranchised youth will takeover both Verizon and Warehouse Live, while Super Happy Fun Land plays host to the latest installment of Houston experimental noise including Wall With One Side, which has us convinced that the talented and omni-present Mr. Higdon has indeed determined how to clone himself. Perhaps we're just waxing mellow this week, but we think it'll be a fine night to check out Dewveall at Bohemeo's.
