Daily-ist Tuesday: Kerouac's Big Sur

kerouacwebposter.jpg Tonight only, Houston's Studio Movie Grill will screen the movie One Fast Move or I'm Gone: Kerouac's Big Sur, a documentary chronicling Kerouac's pilgrimage to Lawrence Ferlinghetti's cabin in the north California hills following the immense and sudden success of his book On The Road.

The film features interviews with Kerouac's contemporaries and Kerouac experts, as well as voice-overs featuring Jack's own writing. Much of it was filmed on location at Ferlinghetti's cabin.

Studio Movie Grill is a Dallas-based theater company that screens films while also serving food and drinks from a full kitchen and bar.
