Rock Talk, Vol. X

rock box.jpg Rock Talk is back, stuffed with a slew of Houston music news that's sure to please. There's a lot in the Tunes section this week, for which we're always thankful.

Tunes
B L A C K I E has some new tracks/freestyles available for download on bln.kr.

A mysterious new Houston project name Gray Tapes [Rock Talk knows who's behind it but won't reveal that just yet] has chopped n' screwed B L A C K I E's track I Write On Money.

Prairie Cadets posted their tracks from their KTRU session to MySpace & Bandcamp [where you can buy them], and will have copies of the EP available at upcoming shows.

The new Something Fierce 7" is available from Action Town Records, and the band posted a demo of a new song, What We Need Now , to myspace.

Wails dropped some demos online that you can snag.

News, etc.
Miss Leslie wrote a fantastic blog post about being a woman in the music industry, but fellas should read it too, because there's some good non-gender-specific advice within it.

The Wiggins let us know that the next 7" will arrive with a release show at Sound Exchange on December 18th. We can't wait.

Videos
Speaking of Miss Leslie, she's not the only Houston musician who's expecting. Jessica of SkyBlue72 is as well, and posted a video to let everyone know what the future of the band looks like.

Well, we're going to get all turkey'd out - so until our tryptophan coma passes, Rock Talk is dismissed. See you next week.
