H-Town Rock

For the week of December 14th - 16th, 2009

Our apologies for a completely lackluster, half-assed attempt at H-Town Rock last week. Our new job has eaten up more of our time than we thought, and we haven't quite gotten our schedule adjusted yet. That was pathetic, and we won't let it happen again.

This is the stage of the year where the calendar tends to get light - the holidays can wreak havoc with our music schedules, and our selections become less precise. That's why we'll be trying to crash Hot 95.7's party tonight, and get a chance to recruit Chamillionaire for our friend GunsandTacos. If that doesn't work out, we'll drop by Super Happy Fun Land.

Tuesday Houstonist will make sure to hit up The Mink - not only is Elaine Greer playing, but also Sergio from Buxton will be strumming away. Elaine's technically an Austin resident now, so we like to make sure we catch her when she's in town.

We'll follow up our folky night with a crushing metal show at House of Blues on Wednesday as we take in Underoath and the phenomenal fast-paced technical metal of August Burns Red. As always, let us know where you'll be found, maybe Houstonist will buy you a beer thanks to our new cashflow.
