Bike Swap Event Sunday, February 21st!

By "bike" we mean two-wheeled, human-powered, no carbon footprint form of transportation or recreation. If you have a bike that needs parts, or parts for a bike you can swap out, Hands Up Houston is hosting a Bike Swap Meet from 8:00 a.m until 2:00 p.m. at Chicago's Italian Beef, located at 1777 Airline Drive this Sunday. Come on by with your bike or parts, whichever the case may be and in some cases, you can have the parts put on your bike for you.

Great idea and a great way to get a little jump start on clearing our your garage or storage closet/shed. Please stop by to share and swap - let's get some more bikes on the proverbial road and get some cardio in while you're cycling about! Besides, Houston has some killer green spaces you can bike, and there are bike lanes on some main thoroughfares. Don't be rude, bikes follow the same road rules as cars (and be mindful of the jackass cars - they are everywhere). Be sure and wear you're helmet now, y'hear!
