Houstonist is a website about Houston and everything that happens in it. That means news and events, restaurants and bars, happenings, goings-on and observations.

Houstonist was launched in November 2005 and is part of the Gothamist network. It is authored by a growing group of hard-working bloggers. We’re always looking to expand the Houstonist team. If you love Houston and are in tune with what’s happening in the city, e-mail us with a writing sample and some info about yourself. If you think there’s an area of interest we’re not writing about, let us know that, too. As for pay — we only offer fame, not wealth.

I have a news tip/story idea/event/rumor/bit of gossip. Wanna hear it?
You bet. Houstonist loves hearing from our readers. Send information on stuff of interest to Houstonians to us. And if there’s a burning question you want to sic the Houstonist brain trust on, write it on a 4-by-6 index card and e-mail it to askhoustonist (at) gmail.com.
