A teenage boy was beaten and stabbed to death yesterday afternoon at a Montrose-area park in what police say was a gang turf war. It happened at about 2:40 p.m. at Ervan Chew Park at Dunlavy and Norfolk, where a group of teens were playing basketball. More than a dozen other teens showed up and attacked the first group with baseball bats, tire irons, bricks and golf clubs. The two groups were rival gangs, police said.
