Houstonist headed out to The Showgrounds at Sam Houston Race Park this past Sunday to catch skateboarding legend, Tony Hawk's traveling extreme sports show, the Boom Boom HuckJam. The weather was scorching hot but we braved the heat along with about a thousand other folks to see the show which included skateboarders, bmx bikers and motocross stunt riders. We even got a chance to see Tony Hawk prior to the show. Check out our pics!......

Tony Hawk's Boom Boom HuckJam is coming town and we bet you are wondering, "What the heck is a Boom Boom HuckJam?" The Vans Warped Tour is coming to town this Sunday, July 6th at Sam Houston Race Park. Since 1995, shoe manufacturer, Vans, has sponsored this all day music and extreme sports festival which in the past has boasted up to 100 bands in a single show.
