Gigi’s Asian Bistro in the Galleria realized that brunch is so last season and offers $15 all-you-can-eat dim sum on Sundays and Saturdays between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. instead. It perks up weekend dining in Houston like an expensive underwire bra.

If you're anything like Houstonist, you've put off the majority of your holiday shopping until the very last minute, which means that this weekend is nearly your last opportunity to get out there and get it done. After a long day spent fighting crowds and traffic, what could be better than relaxing with some great music and a glass of wine? Nothing, we tell you.
After you've recovered from the coma-inducing tryptophan coursing through your veins tomorrow, grab your friends and family and head over to Post Oak Boulevard for one of Houston's favorite traditions: the 23rd Annual Uptown Holiday Lighting.
Good news, Houston! Not only have we finally Jenny Craig'd our way out of the "Fattest City in America" title, we are also steadily becoming less sweaty.

Today’s Photo of the Day comes from flickr user and Houstonist photo contributor Paper By Design who gives us this multi-view of 610 and The Galleria area. World class shopping and world class traffic makes this a highly congested area almost any time of the day. Still, it's a favorite spot of Houstonist and we thank Paper By Design for sharing this image with us.

Today’s Photo of the Day comes from flickr user and Houstonist photo contributor erinen31, who writes: While waiting at a red light at Hidalgo & Post Oak, I thought I'd snap a picture. I have a love/hate relationship with the street signs in the Galleria area. During the day, the white lettering & the reflections in the metal make it so you can hardly read them, but at night, they look super cool for...
