The Houston Dragon Boat Festival kicks off at 8:30 tomorrow morning and promises a day full of exciting races as well as a celebration of Asian culture. Teams will race along Buffalo Bayou in traditional Hong Kong-style dragon boats about every 15 minutes beginning at 9 am. The bewildering British sport of cricket could soon bring its interminable matches (and frequent tea breaks) Stateside under a plan from the Board of Control for Cricket in India. Houston, New York, Chicago and the Bay Area are all locations tabbed to host one-day exhibition matches as part of an international tour of the Indian cricket team (the team would also hit Toronto, London, Hong Kong, Singapore and Dubai, among other cities).
