Author Richard Brown, who won awards for both his books and his script-writing in what has been called the best show on television, will speak in Houston tonight as part of the Inprint Margarett Root Brown Reading Series. Price is the author of seven novels, including . He just released his first novel in more than five years, Lush Life, about life in modern-day New York City. But Price is perhaps most famous for his work on , HBO's wildly popular police drama set in Baltimore, MD. Price will be reading tonight at 7:30 p.m. at the Alley Theater. The Inprint Brown Reading Series is one of Houstonist's favorite events in this town — Inprint has brought everyone from Malcolm Gladwell to Jeffrey Eugenides to Houston for readings.
