A lot of local and regional shows this week. Galveston’s Mardi Gras begins this weekend, with lots of local bands on tap. You’ll also find some good jazz at Brasil and Kelvin Arms tomorrow night, and with Orange is In at Notsuoh Saturday night. For non-local shows, our pick of the week has to be singer/songwriter Patty Griffin. Even though she now calls Austin home, she rarely (if ever) plays in Houston. Technically, she’s not playing in Houston, but Conroe’s Crighton Theatre (which looks like a great venue) is close enough. The Incubus show at Verizon Wireless should be good, too.
