Houstonist plunked down some cash for a general admission ticket to see Kings of Leon Tuesday night in Houston. We braved event security, throngs of people and downtown parking to bring you these photos from last night's show!

Most of the late-night talk shows are back with new shows this year, proving that scripted comedians can actually be kinda funny on their own! This week, electronic rockers MGMT [pictured] are scheduled to perform on Letterman. Like what you hear? Be sure to catch the duo when they come to town to play at Walter's on Sunday, January 20.

If you're keeping up with us lately, you've probably noticed our keen affection for photography over the last few weeks. With last weekend's opening party of our current Photo Show exhibit at M2 Gallery, and today's DirtyFeet introspective, we can't seem to get enough of these snap happy shutterbugs.

Kings of Leon is a family affair. The Tennessee band consist of three brothers and a cousin. Formed in 2000, the Followill boys didn't take long to make an impression: their 2003 debut album was on many critic's year-end favorites and the band was asked to open up for U2 and others. In the late 90's, the only touring they did was to various religious tent revivals with their father, a Pentecostal preacher.

Some good acts are in town this week. We have free tickets for one in particular -- Charlie Robison.
