Will Ferrell may be the funniest male Saturday Night Live alumnus still living, which is part of what makes us so sad when he chooses less-than-quality film (, anyone?).

We love movies. We like the popcorn, the previews, the way there's still curtains at the old River Oaks. We like midnight movies, 11 AM bargain matinees, and driving outside the loop to go see that one movie we missed at that one really sketchy theater. We also like the Oscars (look for our predictions later this week).

With all of the hoopla over the historic River Oaks Theater, we thought there was probably no better way to give the lovelies who want to tear it down the proverbial finger than to support the theater by seeing a flick. Or two.
