Remember earlier this year when Metro announced preliminary design work was beginning for an intermodal transit station downtown? Residents of the Near North Side, where the proposed station would be located, do, and they don't like the idea. KHOU says it got a lot of calls from people in the neighborhood who think the Metro station would bring an undesirable element to their area. Metro, of course, says the station would help revitalize and bring jobs to the neighborhood.
