The greatest time of the year is now upon us. It's December! Stockings are hung by the chimney with care, the Galleria is overrun by rabid shoppers, there is a nip in the air (if you consider 80 degrees nippy), office holiday parties (a Houstonist favorite) are in full swing and so are college football bowl games. 2005 is extra special since the Longhorns wrapped their gift to Mack Brown on Saturday and are headed to Tinseltown for the granddaddy of 'em all, the Rose Bowl, for the national championship.
