Sunday, August 10th at Shakepeare Pub there's a benefit that plans to bust out into a full open mic jam. Beginning at 2 p.m., various bands will be playing as part of a benefit forLarry Lownote Johnson (bassist for John McVey) and his wife, Angela Highnote Johnson. Angela was involved in a near fatal accident when a drunk driver rear ended her vehicle and the insurance money is simply not enough. Most artists are "self-employed" and have either personal insurance or none at all. When tragedy strikes, it's time for the community to band together and help out. After all, we've heard the adages that "charity begins at home" and "it takes a village" - it's time to put some money where our mouth is. Admission to the benefit is free, there will be a raffle and food will be served, your donations are very appreciated.
