We at H-Town Rock sure are glad that whomever decided the calendar slot for the now-annual Record Store Day opted to have it so close to our birthday. Those checks from our grandmother, parents, aunt & uncle are as good as gone.
Record Store Day was originally founded "as a celebration of the unique culture surrounding over 700 independently owned record stores in the USA, and hundreds of similar stores internationally." Currently in it's third year, it features a list of 160 exclusive products sold only at independent shops, and brings along with it a slew of great happenings and goings-on at music stores everywhere, including our fair city.
