And sure enough, the company is selling Splashtown and six other parks in a $312 million deal. Houstonians swarmed to AstroWorld this weekend to pick over the closed amusement park's treasures — and they came away with really expensive tchotchkes. One couple that met in 1973 near the tiny railroad in the park paid $500 for a railroad-crossing sign.
