Babes On Boards is coming this Saturday, March 21st and it will be held at the Lee and Joe Jamail Skatepark from 8am to noon.
Rock The Cradle For Johnny Romano was held on Sunday, November 9, 2008 at the Lee and Joe Jamail Skatepark near downtown. The contest was a World Cup Invitational event and skaters from all over the world, including Brazil and Denmark, came out to support The Johnny Romano Foundation. Three contests were held including biggest air, biggest cradle ride and best trick.
Rock The Cradle is the first World Cup Invitational event that the Lee and Joe Jamail Skatepark has seen. There are going to be a number of pros and ams competing in today's events.
It's here and it's happening today! The Johnny Romano Skate Jam is skateboarding's largest charity event and this year the event formerly known as the Texas Skate Jam has been renamed in honor of Johnny Romano, a die-hard skater and surfer who passed away in September.

Houstonist headed out to The Showgrounds at Sam Houston Race Park this past Sunday to catch skateboarding legend, Tony Hawk's traveling extreme sports show, the Boom Boom HuckJam. The weather was scorching hot but we braved the heat along with about a thousand other folks to see the show which included skateboarders, bmx bikers and motocross stunt riders. We even got a chance to see Tony Hawk prior to the show. Check out our pics!
