Rock The Cradle For Johnny Romano was held on Sunday, November 9, 2008 at the Lee and Joe Jamail Skatepark near downtown. The contest was a World Cup Invitational event and skaters from all over the world, including Brazil and Denmark, came out to support The Johnny Romano Foundation. Houstonist braved the scorching heat and throngs of people at the opening of the Lee & Joe Jamail Skatepark near downtown Houston on Sunday to bring you these photos. The masses waited outside the facility until the ribbon was cut allowing the crowd to flow into the park. There were kids, teenagers, parents, curious onlookers, videographers and photographers all packed like sardines in this brand new, 30,000 square foot, concrete encrusted facility.
