In the highly-publicized Mayoral election in New Orleans last weekend, incumbent Ray Nagin eked out a win over Lt. Gov. Mitch Landrieu. The race was close up to the end, but Nagin claimed the victory with 52 percent of the votes. Houstonist was momentarily stunned after seeing the results come Sunday morning, but we've warmed up to the idea since Nagin will assuredly continue his entertaining and carefree "Chocolate City" rhetoric for years to come.... more ›
