Now there’s a report that with the help of today’s plummenting oil prices on the market, some states are already seeing below that two dollar mark. Even with the recent drops in the price of gas, it's still big news when you can get it cheap — which is why people get really excited when a gallon shows up for close to $2. That's what happened at a couple of stations at Yale and Crosstimbers yesterday: A Valero station at the intersection was selling gas for $2.16 a gallon, while it was going for $2.14 at a nearby Conoco.
