Last week whilst doing our daily perusing of the MFAH calendar of events, we noticed the site recently underwent a facelift. Well, to be fair, only the homepage did. The rest of the site is still an overly busy collection of links, exhibits and sections.

Houstonist has always been fascinated by cyborgs. From The Bionic Man to Data, we've often wondered about the possibilities of combining human intelligence with technology.

If you're anything like Houstonist, you're attached to Twitter like a three-year-old in one of those creepy, monkey-shaped baby harnesses. It's your safety blanket and your connection with something important (us: our friends; babies: their moms), yet also prevents you from doing important things (us: work, real-world forms of socializing; babies: putting small objects into their mouths, knocking over store displays). Yes, it's an annoying leash, but we still can't live without it.

Just one month ago, Houstonist asked the question: "Where's the free wi-fi?" We finally have our answer.

Paging all music nerds and iPhone junkies. Two enterprising Austinites, Jon Loyens and Bryon Jacob, have created a website designed to place the full South by Southwest line up in the palm of your hand. Their site, sxswinfo.com, is optimized for viewing on your trendy little gadget. Just navigate to it via your iPhone browser. The site also works on laptops, but did not seem to load correctly on Houstonist's CrackBerry BlackBerry.
