Two enterprising Austinites, Jon Loyens and Bryon Jacob, have created a website designed to place the full South by Southwest line up in the palm of your hand. Their site, sxswinfo.com, is optimized for viewing on your trendy little gadget. Just navigate to it via your iPhone browser. The site also works on laptops, but did not seem to load correctly on Houstonist's CrackBerry BlackBerry.

The English vs. Every Other Language debate got a little more heated last night in Friendswood as local officials and residents debated the merits of making English the city's official language. You may remember when the issue came up last week after resident William Hilburn complained to the city that he couldn't communicate with city employees trimming trees near his house.

Good week for a concert, for all genres: Tuesday Houstonist always likes to give kudos to our locals parading on the reality shows. Will Makar was one of those from last year's American Idol.
