So as luck would have it, Austin is only about 150 miles away (although we’re sure you already knew that, smartypants), and each year around mid-March there is a well respected music, arts, and media festival known as South by Southwest (knew that, too, didn’t you?). This week in local music, you can catch the Woodlands native Hayes Carll as he croons and makes the women swoon at two shows at the Duck. One of our local favorites, Spain Colored Orange, opens for Mates of State at Numbers. The one touring act not to miss this week is Death Cab for Cutie at the Hobby Center.
