So, we told you that the Saturday brewery tours were now open for bidness. The schedule has been updated, so we are passing on this very important public service announcement. Saturday tours will now commence promptly at the crack of 11:00 a.m. and the last admissions will be at 2:00 p.m., price of admission is $7 per person and you get a souvenier glass and four samples. There are presently no scheduled tour presentations, but, table-side chats are planned. The taps will be shut at 4:00 p.m., and thus the touring and sampling will begin coming to an end. The newery will be open for tours Saturday, December 26th, so please bring your six-pack containers (always try to) on Boxing Day as you sample, tour and make off with a cool glass. You may have to wait for admission, due to capacity constraints, so, check the weather and dress accordingly. There will also be tours on January 2, 2010.

AIA, walk it out.
On the second Sunday of every month, the Greater Houston Preservation Alliance (GHPA) offers a guided walking tour of an architecturally and/or historically significant neighborhood in Houston. This coming Sunday will see the GHPA leading a tour around The Binz, a neighborhood just to the northeast of the lovely, verdant Museum District.
