19-year-old incoming UH freshman Magen Ellis won the 2007 Miss Texas USA crown on Sunday night in Laredo continuing her winning tradition and Houston's. For the second year in a row Miss Houston has been crowned Miss Texas, with 2006 winner Lauren Lanning crowning fellow Houstonian Magen Ellis, while Ellis herself also won the 2004 Miss Texas Teen USA.
