Houstonist loves Thanksgiving. That said, we'll be the first to admit that Thanksgiving can get pretty boring. Face it: Once you have dinner and the family settles into a tryptophan-and-football-induced coma, all you can do is look forward to leftover turkey sandwiches. So why not get into the holiday spirit this Thanksgiving with a trip to the Buffalo Bayou ArtPark's 2005 Xmas Tree Show? Twenty-one artists and groups decorate trees however they want, and the results are usually pretty crazy. This year, the entries include a 25-layer tree cake, an inverted tree and a tree decorated with traffic lights. If that doesn't make you feel Christmasy, we don't know what will. more ›
